Denis Miki Foundation (DMF) is a non-governmental, charity organization working to sustainably develop rural and urban poor communities. Our primary areas of intervention are education, health, food security & livelihoods, talent promotion, wealth creation and information and communication technologies (ICTs) in order to sustainably provide assistance to individuals while building capacity of local communities, youths, women and children. In support of these activities we provide capacity building training, empowerment forums, creation of support groups, health and education outreach campaigns, plantation farming, economic empowerment through micro-financing programs.

We are now seeking a Grants Coordinator, who will report to the Programme Coordinator.

Job description

  • Develop and maintain overview of all grants, donor requirements, rules and regulations, internal and external deadlines- including filing of grant documents
  • Coordinate the development of donor applications and reports, ensure donor compliance and quality control
    – Coordinate and consolidate multisector concept notes, project proposals and reports to donors
    – Coordinate and consolidate the emergency donor reports
  • Contribute to the development and revision of funding proposals and budgets
  • Be updated on donor priorities, track and share relevant calls for proposals
  • Contribute to continuously improving internal grant management systems
  • Provide an internal help-desk on donor related issues, organize and deliver trainings in;
    – donor rules and regulations
    – proposal and report writing
  • Contribute to Project Cycle Management (PCM) trainings and usage of the DMF PCM frame work
  • Coordinate the development and distribution of internal reports
  • Support external donor audits
  • Represent with relevant partners and donors as delegated
  • Facilitate the organization of proposal planning meetings, grant opening meetings, progress meetings, and grant closure meetings
  • Identify new funding opportunities


  • Between 3-5 years of relevant experience within field of expertise
  • Relevant experience from the project management in the humanitarian/sustainable development sector
  • Experience from working with humanitarian and development donors
  • Good understanding of donor rules and regulations
    – Specific knowledge of ECHO and UNICEF rules and requirements
  • Skills and experience in report and proposal writing
  • Strong analytical skills (data and financial)
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills in English and French
  • Knowledge of the context in Cameroon
  • Experience with Project Cycle Management

We offer

  • Contract period: 12 months

  • Salary/benefits: According to DMF’s general directions
  • Duty station:Limbe with travel to the field locations upon request
