The Queen’s Young Leader Award recognises and celebrates exceptional people aged 18-29 from across the Commonwealth, who are taking the lead in their communities and using their skills to transform lives. Winners of this prestigious Award receive a unique package of training, mentoring and networking.In 2016 Emilia Miki, Denis Miki Foundation’s Founder/CEO was a finalist and was recognised by being given the title of an Associate Fellow of The Royal Commonwealth Society.
This year’s competition she didn’t only make finals but was a Highly Recommended Runner Up and won the opportunity to take part in a one year training programme from the University of Cambridge called “Leading Change”.
These awards and recognitions have greatly contributed in the growth of the organisation and created platforms for increased networking and capacity building.
